The morning's sailing started with practicing mooring. This involved hanging off the front of the boat - with someone holding your legs - and having to thread a small buoy!
As we motored out of the harbour, we were lucky enough to see a seal poking it's head out of the water. By 11:21 we were bobbing along the Bute Sound and had our second visitor of the day - a porpoise! An hour or so later, the wind had died, so we dropped the sails and put the motor on. We decided to have lunch in Brodick Bay and on the way we saw another seal!
After a lovely lunch in the sunshine, we headed off for some gybe talkin'...
Gybing is a lot trickier than tacking, but after a few false starts, we could gybe almost as smoothly as we could tack. Once we had 'perfected' this manouver, we flew along the Clyde Estuary (Soozy holds the current record of 5.16 KN) to Holy Island. There we took a right and entered Lamlash Harbour.
After pie, peas and mash for tea, we gently (!?) rocked to sleep.
