Wild is the Wind

We started the day by motoring into Tarbet Harbour to replenish our water supply. From there we sailed to the Colintrave Hotel. They were the most exciting, scary and sickly hours of sailing I have ever experienced! The boat was keeled right over and was crashing through the waves - all the while our Powder Monkey was puking his little green guts up. Despite this he was still able to give us a smile :)

We were going so fast that we broke the speed record - a whopping 5.83 KN :) As we tacked into the West Kyle, the sailing got smoother and our crew returned to their normal colours. Once we had moored up at the hotel, we rowed across to shower, eat and drink!

The rain was still pouring as we left the pub and rowed back to our boat...

I woke with a start at about 3am. I was soaking wet! The boat had sprung a leak right onto my sleeping bag :( The spare bed next to Soozy was dry, so I climbed in and dozed off... Only to be awoken at 5am by Soozy. The boat had sprung another leak - now she was soaking too!

In fact, a damp night was had by all... :'(
