Another day, another bus - this time to the icecap via the glacial lagoon where a Bond movie - Die Another Day (I think!?)Along the way our CD guide gave us lots of useless facts about the Vatnajökull...
1. It is the third largest icecap in the world.
2. It is the largest in Europe.
3. It is approximately 3000 square miles in area.
4. It covers 8% of Iceland.
Anyway the bus journey was much more interesting... It was bloody scary at times - off-roading in a normal bus. Well, maybe it was slightly modified, but it was still impressive.
Finally we arrived at the icecap...
